The action to block access to the pages according to Khoram Abadi was a response to the Anti-Islam movie that mocked the prophet Mohammed and ignited several protests across the Muslim world. He added that the Google website will be filtered until further notice.
Since YouTube has failed to take down the film from its website, countries including Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh also previously blocked access to the site.
