Yep, Justin Bieber got snubbed at Wednesday night?s Grammy nominations concert. Despite his hit, ?Boyfriend,? Bieber wasn?t nominated for a single award.
But before you praise the Grammys for finally doing something right, I should tell you, Carly Rae Jepsen, the woman responsible for ?Call Me Maybe,? was nominated for Song of the Year.
Okay, so it?s catchy, and that?s what the Grammys are all about. As god-awful as anyone with good taste finds that song, perhaps she deserves it. Let?s stay focused on what really matters here: Bieber getting ignored.
Bieber wasn?t nominated for anything. Nada. Zilch. Not Song of the Year; not Best Pop Vocal Album. Nothing. This prompted his manager, a grown man named Scooter Braun, to take to Twitter to complain:
?This time there won?t be any wise words, no excuses, I just plain DISAGREE. The kid deserved it. Grammy board u blew it on this one.?
Uh, that shipped sailed when they gave a statuette to a Britney Spears. So why does Scoots think Bieber is entitled to even more then he already has?
?The hardest thing to do is transition, keep the train moving. The kid delivered. Huge successful album, sold out tour, and won people over?this time he deserved to be recognized and I don?t really have any kind nice positive things to say about a decision I don?t agree with.?
Apparently, Bieber?s 2012 album, Believe, debuted at No. 1 on the Billbaord charts. It also sold over 2 million copies and was responsible for a few top 10 singles.
??to all those nominated?you do deserve it,? Braun added. ?You worked hard and u earned it. Just feel like so did JB.?
So, he?s basically telling people how to feel now. It?s not enough that he feels entitled, he wants the rest of the world to feel entitled, too?not for themselves, but for his client.
He ended his Twitter rant with this message to all of Justin?s Beliebers:
?To his fans?looks like we get to stay the underdog a little longer. Life is long, with many ups and downs, but we get to keep going, everyday brings a new opportunity. NOTHING GREAT EVER CAME EASY.?
