Irate fans of Accra Hearts of Oak did not allow the club’s Serbian trainer Nebojsa Vucicevic to carry out his duties when the team hosted Katamanso United in a friendly game at the ATTC Park yesterday.

The fans, who have been complaining about the coach’s recent poor tactics which has resulted in the club’s acquisition of just a point from two games, besieged the training grounds of the team and gave Vucicevic the marching off orders.

And after some exchanges, he drove away in his navy blue CRV vehicle. They however did not assault him, according to Happy FM.

The incident drew the club’s CEO Fred Crentsil and a management member Aziz Haruna to the scene with the speed of lightening and in separate interviews, they condemned the fans’ actions.

Coach Tanko Mohammed, Vucicevic’s assistant then took charge of the team and they were held to a 3-3 drawn game in the friendly encounter.

Hearts, who are placed second, trailing rivals Asante Kotoko with a seven-point difference, drew 0-0 when they hosted struggling Bechem United and lost 0-1 to Ashgold in four days.
