The premiership side created lots of clear cut opportunities but drew blanks as Manchester played a goalless draw game at the Old Trafford for the first time in European Competition in over five years.

Marking the decade of the death of George Best who wore the iconic No. 7 jersey for United in the 60s and 70s, many fans hoped to see a flood of goals at the Theatre of Dreams but Louis van Gaals side’s profligacy came to light again in the end.
Jesse Lingard, Memphis Depay, Wayne Rooney, Antonio Martial, and Morgan Schneiderlin were all culprits. Manchester United nearly paid the price on the stroke of half time but David De Gea managed to save Jorrit Hendrix’s effort.
The story did not change in the second half except for the fans at the Stretford End chanting “Attack! Attack! Attack!” David De Gea had to come to the rescue of United again when he saved Davy Propper’s ball.
A win could have secured United a last 16 place but as it stance now, van Gaal’s men must win against German side Wolfsburg in other to go through.
