Impact GhanaAs a young organisation, it seeks to work to maximize and promote the course of young people who desire to take initiatives that will eventually impact on society with spotlight across the globe.

Mr. Lambert Donkor, a British Council Trail Blazing Ambassador and change agent who doubles as the Country Director for the organisation partnered Mr. Raymond Okpani, CEO for Nigeria-based Raise A Youth Foundation Africa, to launch the first ever project ‘’Youth Connect For Impact’’ on Saturday July 22, 2017.

The project, launched at the Headquarters of NADMO, was designed to acquaint the youth with global issues, needs, resources and other factors that influence community growth and inspire young leaders to become change agents of community leadership as well as share experiences, skills and network with each other. The event brought together young leaders from selected impact-making organisations and a team from Raise a Youth Foundation Africa from Nigeria.

Opening the ceremony, Madam Lutfia Jamal, a member of the NADMO Governing Council challenged participants to take advantage of such great initiatives in order to change the face of society to a positive one of which, “The youth are by themselves energetic, innovative and drivers of change, hence, the need for an enabling environment for them to explore great ideas for societal impacts’’.

Madam Juliet Amoah, a business coach and a Consultant to British Council who was the focal person at the launch, encouraged participants to aspire to greater heights with the aim of achieving and maintaining excellence as a standard with their respective initiatives.
The event engaged participants in a two-hour intensive panel discussion for them to better tell their own stories to inspire other patrons in order to help raise global leaders and to champion young people to take up bold initiatives despite challenges that may come their way.

About sixty (60) participants, drawn from organisations in Accra, Tamale Takoradi, Koforidua and Kumasi, etc. expressed their excitement and appreciation to the organisers of the programme for such an inspiring platform for sharing knowledge. Some participants called for a reloaded of the project to help make room for a lot more issues bothering young people with great initiatives to be discussed extensively.

The organisers then hinted that series of similar projects would be rolled out in the country soon with the aim of breaking barriers and connecting to other African countries like Kenya and South Africa by the end of the year.

The launch of the project ‘’Youth Connect for Impact’’ was embraced and supported by other organisations such as GLOPA and Associates, Reach-out World Missions, The Great Thinkers, Rally For The Goals, Street Sense Organisation, The Rebranded Lady, GO Girls Program, Young People’s Initiative as well as NADMO.

Sponsors of the project included Blue Skies, Ultimate Water, AceHonor and Royal Class Multimedia.
