Texas influencer Ashley “Ash” Trevino has pleaded guilty to welfare and healthcare fraud, avoiding jail time, after prosecutors accused her of relationships with dozens of state prison inmates.
Trevino, 36, pleaded guilty this week to two state jail felony charges in Ellis County, according to TMZ, which obtained court documents. She was sentenced to two years of community supervision, 120 hours of community service, an anti-theft class and financial counselling, avoiding additional jail time.
Prosecutors said the welfare fraud involved a five-year pattern of deception, from May 2019 to July 2024, used to obtain Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and Medicaid benefits worth between $2,500 and $30,000. The healthcare fraud charge accused her of concealing income to receive Medicaid benefits she was not entitled to. She was ordered to pay $16,799.95 in restitution to the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, with monthly payments of $780 starting in September.
In the same court filings, prosecutors alleged Trevino had relationships with between 50 and 75 inmates in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice over several years, some serving sentences for violent offences including aggravated robbery and murder. Those allegations were not part of the fraud charges she pleaded guilty to.
Prosecutors also accused Trevino of soliciting money from TikTok followers in exchange for disclosing health information about a dependent, and of appearing in sexually explicit videos and livestreams on social media. None of those claims formed the basis of her conviction.
Trevino was first arrested on the fraud warrants in December 2025 in Venus, Texas, and released on a $15,000 bond. She was taken back into custody in March after prosecutors alleged she violated her bond conditions by drinking alcohol, which led a judge to raise her bond to $25,000 and impose a curfew.
TMZ reported that Trevino received more than 20 new requests for paid video shoutouts on the Cameo platform within hours of her guilty plea being made public.
