Interface Limited, suppliers of Platerboard & Acoustic ceilings, Partitons, Laminate Flooring and Shingles, among others, yesterday demonstrated its commitment to growth of the building industry in Ghana by presenting a cheque for GH¢10,000 toward organisation of the 2012 awards ceremony  for members of the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA).

Interface Limited thus becomes one of the key sponsors of the event that seeks to recognise and award deserving industry stakeholders so as to entrench the high standards the Association is noted for.

Dr. Alex Tweneboah, President of  GREDA, aplauded the gesture of Interface Limited and called on other stakeholders to also support the association in its efforts to provide good and affordable housing to the people.

“Recognising and awarding our peers who have shown great leadership, innovation and commitment to providing solutions to the housing needs of the people is ample demonstration that the association expects nothing but the best from all stakeholders,” says Dr. Tweneboah.

The GREDA President said the association will continue to provide responsible leadership to all property developers in building quality housing and real-estate for the nation.

Dr. Tweneboah also urged government to support GREDA’s quest to provide affordable and quality housing for the nation, since its members have proven their capacity and abilities beyond any doubt over the years through their individual and collective achievements.

Mrs. Francoise Arthur, Business Development Manager of Interface Limited, said her company decided to support the GREDA awards because a stronger GREDA will accrue to the benefit of the people — and by extension suppliers such as Interface Limited.

“GREDA is highly respected by both the public and private sectors for its commitment to nation building and betterment of life, and we are happy to support it,” she added.

The event is scheduled for June 29, 2012 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra, and is open to all GREDA members as well as other stakeholders such as Architects, Surveyors, Material suppliers and regulators.
