ITALCONSTRUCT International Limited, a Ghanaian Construction firm on Thursday launched 100 executive homes at East Legon Hills in Accra.
The homes which are on a 60 by 70 land size are made up of an advance building technology including versatility, energy saving, excellent acoustics, fire resistance, earth resistance, bullet-proof walls and cyclone resistance.
Mr Johnny Kofi Osei, a Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing who launched the homes said President John Dramani Mahama is interested in innovation, while the ministry is ready to partner ITALCONSTRUCT and other companies to help reduce the national housing deficit.
He said Ghana needs about 179,000 housing units to solve the pending housing deficit.
Mr Osei said his sector Ministry is encouraging Public-Private Partnership especially with estate developers to solve the housing problem.
Mr Kwesi Baidoo, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of ITALCONSTRUCT says his company holds the key to affordable and time saving construction, adding: ?We used six weeks to construct a three- bedroom house with our technology.?
ITALCONSTRUCT has trained large number of sub-contractors and artisans to deliver maximum security and quality products.
Mr Baidoo said the company is capable of delivering 2000-5000 housing units annually.
ITALCONSTRUCT was adjudged the fastest growing property company and the best developer, innovator in 2012 and Property innovator in 2013 and was nominated for the Property Innovator in Paris for the 2014 award.
