Celebrated kind-hearted Jamaican Artiste Lincoln Brown, who is currently in Ghana, is ready to roll out an initiative dubbed ‘Ghana Girls’ through the Lincoln Brown Foundation which would be the main song to drive the vision.

Through his music, he has the burning desire to improve the livelihoods of people living in slums.

Lincoln Brown is a Jamaican artiste residing in Austria, Europe since many years and Ghana is the first and only country in Africa he has visited so far and have been coming quite often for the past 5 years.

Touched by the extreme poverty he has so far personally witnessed, he decided to put this together to contribute his quota to the development of Ghana.

ModernGhana caught up with the Jamaican Artiste who shared his vision with us………

“Due to the fact that I have a colleague in Vienna who is a Ghanaian, I got very interested in Ghana, but the main reason for my first visit was through a female Ghanaian who contacted me online! Due to her stories I somehow decided to help her! Though being cautious, I still tried to help with small amount of money in which I sent to her various times through western union.

After some time corresponding with this lady, I realize that something was not right, and so I decided spontaneously to travel to Ghana. My flat mate in Vienna arranged one of his friends in Ghana to guide and assist me during my stay. The Ghanaian lady knew I was coming and she told me she would meet me at the airport with a friend! I decided to take precautions and therefore asked my Ghanaian contact if he could arrange a Police male or female dressed in civil clothes to accompany us at the airport! This he was able to do, but somehow even though the lady I was corresponding with and her friend spoke to us on the phone about 1 hour before they should have arrived, yet they didn?t show themselves at the airport!

My Ghanaian colleague and I decided to visit the address this lady has been sending me, which was in Alajo, Accra, but when we went to the address, we found out that there is a church at that address and no one seem to know anyone by the name of the lady I was corresponding with! Even before I decided to come to Ghana I did realized that there was some dishonesty about everything, but I still wanted to come to have proof of what was going on.

When I saw how the conditions in which people are living in Alajo, as a God loving person, I forgot in that moment the bad things and was filled with such a good feeling that made me said to myself and the Ghanaian colleague who accompanied me, ?I will come back here one day and start my help project for people in need right here in Alajo?! I truly fell in love with the country of Ghana, and after being here several times I was inspired to write the song ?Ghana Girls? which would be the best way to generate the income I need to carry out this project! In the end this song turns out to be one of the best songs on my entire album, and also way beyond anyone?s expectations! I felt strongly this is the will of God!

[B]About The Ghana Girls Project

Certificate Of Incorporation
Certificate Of Incorporation

My main goal with the song ?Ghana Girls? is to achieve sufficient funds for the same reasons as follows, in which I was inspired to write this song:

a.?Making an effort to work with the government of Ghana
b. Financial assistance to poor children in Ghana to get the education they require
c. Assisting poor people with severe sickness who can?t afford medical treatment
d. Promoting Ghana as a beautiful country internationally
e. Opening up possibilities on the International music scene for Ghanaian artists

This Ghana project is an independent one within my album project, and due to the fact that it all develops from the inspiration I had from my first visit, I decided to try my best to make it strictly Ghanaian.

50% from Worldwide Total income from ?Ghana Girls? will be donated to this Ghanaian Project as mentioned above.

Finally I am convinced that the success of this project can be an example for others to follow and can cause great impact on bettering the lives of people.
