An intelligence report from the police said the five suspects who are believed to be in Al-Shabaab camps in Somalia are planning to slip into Kenya to carry out attacks on different locations on unspecified occasions.

Among the five suspects is a female suicide bomber Shamim Wanjiru Hussein, who according to the police is wanted alongside her husband Omar Patroba Juma who was among the group that attacked Baure military camp in Lamu in June.
The police said while the target and timing is unknown, it is likely that Shamim will reach out to her friends and family, some of whom live in Nairobi.
“Kenyan Police request the public to provide any information regarding Shamim to avert Al-Shabaab attack plans,” the police said.
The police said Omar Owiti and Ramadhan Kioko who were also part of the foiled Baure attack but survived and fled are also wanted. Kioko is said to have joined the terror group in 2008 while Owiti joined in 2013.
A former local football player Anwar Yogan Mwok said to be a member of an Al-Shabaab wing of Kenyan fighters known as Jaysh Ahman is also among the wanted terror suspects.
Mwok joined Jaysh Ayman in 2013 and has been identified as one of the survivors of the attack at Baure, while the latter joined the terrorist group in 2008 and also took part in the June raid. The Baure attack left 18 terrorists and three soldiers dead.
The authorities raised concern that the extremists are now targeting young people who are members of a particular youth groups like the football clubs and convert Christians to Muslims. They entice them with money and a promise of better lives ahead.
Kenya continues to suffer several attacks as terrorists change tuck to beat heightened security and carry on with their heinous acts undetected.
Most of these attacks occurred in northeastern Kenya, mainly in Dadaab, Wajir, Garissa, and Mandera counties. Several attacks also occurred along the Kenyan coast.
The government said security agencies are gradually dismantling terrorists and vowed to purge these criminals roaming in the country. Enditem
