MOTTO: ?A good Start Makes a Difference?
King of Glory School is located in Ofankor Barrier in the Ga West Municipal District of the Great Accra Region. It was founded in the year 1991 by Mrs. Jemimah Grace Arhin, a former business woman.
According to her, her desire to help in the upbringing of children in the fear of the Lord and inculcate into them good morals led her to found the school.
She narrates that she was particularly moved one fateful day when some school children were beaten heavily in a rain storm which eventually prevented them from walking miles to school.
?I was moved by the plight of these children when they all run into my shop after being beaten by the rain on one afternoon to set up the school. I remember how I had to keep them with me for hours until the rain stopped.?
Mrs. Arhin further revealed that though she had no money to commence the school, the inspiration she got from that event led her to start the school at her porch with six (6) pupils and a teacher.
The school currently has facilities for children from cr?che to Junior High School (JHS) level, a computer lab and other facilities to improve learning in the school.
King of Glory School currently is a three story classroom complex. The school also has a large compound for future expansion work.
The school?s population has increased from six to over 170 students with seventeen teaching and non- teaching staff.
Wendy Adwoa Ampomaa, Konadu Mavis, Benjamin Aryee, Juweria Hussein Regina, and Morgan in King of Glory School have a poem for our readers. Poem title ?The Future Leaders?
?You are the future leaders; never think you can?t do it.
For there is something in you, that is not yet out.
And your name would be history soon if you don?t start it now.
Who thought Atta Mills and Kufuor would become presidents, yet they were heroes
You can also become a hero and your name shall be added to history.?
