Ace broadcaster and showbiz impresario Kofi Okyere Darko will stage his first major fashion show at the plush Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra on Saturday March 31.
The showbiz icon turned ‘tailor’ will showcase the best from his label NINETEEN57, with star models including Chris Attoh, Dee Black, Kwaku T, Tinny, and a host of others with performances from Amandzeba, Okyeame Kwame, Sarkodie Bertha & Wulomei.
The event, which forms part of Ghana @ 55, will attract senior members of government, the diplomatic corps, members of the business community and showbiz personalities.
In just a couple of years in the fashion industry, KOD has designed clothes for prominent personalities including President Mills, Rawlings, football icon Michael Essien, Emmanuel Adebayo, Stephen Appiah, Roland Agambire of RLG, Samini among others.
The night might be defined as that of a family affair because KOD’s wife Ophelia will also showcase her freedom collection, with hats and fascinators from his sister-in-law Velma Crossland and make up by Jane Awoonor of Spa 216.
The event starts at 7:30pm and will be produced by respected show and film director Ivan Quashigah.
