The General Overseer of Freedom Chapel International, Apostle Francis Amoako- Atta has called on Muslim clerics to voice out to avoid any attempt by whosoever to legalize same-sex marriage in Ghana because both the Bible and the Holy Quran has strongly condemned that practices.
He therefore condemned any attempt to legalize same-sex marriage in Ghana, adding that God created a man to marry a woman and not man to marry a man.
He urged President John Mahama to take a cue from the late Professor John Evans Atta Mills who desist from many pressures by foreign leaders in the legalization of gay practices in Ghana.
Apostle Amoako-Atta made this comments in an interview with the media in Accra in relation with the ongoing debate on legalization of same-sex marriage nationwide in the United States.
According to him countries that have accepted gay rights have been cursed by God and that Ghana would not be an exception if the country took a pro-gay position and expressed his believes that the President would not tolerate any attempt to push any gay right agenda in Ghana.
He said the western countries may decide not to give us loans and grants due our stand as anti-gay so be it, adding that Ghana would never do a thing that would please man and surfer the wrath of God in returns.
He stated that the Holy Bible and the Holy Quran does not support gay rights and cautioned President John Dramani Mahama to ensure that Ghana does not bow to foreign pressure to legalize same-sex marriage in this nation or else we would be cursed.
According to Apostle Francis Amoako- Atta he would prefer to bless the marriage between a brother and a sister than to bless two brothers or two sisters in marriage, adding that Prophet Abraham got married to his sister.
?All Christians must resist to any attempt by whosoever to legalize same-sex marriage in this country because our Bible has condemned it and we must not give our culture and right to a country call America? he noted.
He said Sodom and Gomorah were destroy not because of fornication but were destroy because of gayism.
He cautioned the youth to desist from the practice of gay and look for better things to do.
