The Zongo Caucus of the ruling National Democratic Congress on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama has donated cash and food items to imam and Muslims at the mosque of Malam Abdul- Musa Kadiri in Nima a suburb of Accra.
The items include Date fruit and a cash of GH?1000.
Alhaji Yussif Captain, the National Coordinator of the NDC Zongo Caucus, who led the delegation, said it is imperative for Muslims to come and support their Muslim brothers to end the year Tefsir.
He called on Allah to protect the country from any disaster that may hit any part of the country. He also urged Muslims to foster unity and cooperation among their brethren.
Alhaji Mohammed Ashka the Regional Coordinator of the Caucus, stated that after a month long fast and Quran reading, translation and interpretation by the Imams hence the need for the support.
He advise Muslims especially the youth to make use of what their have learned during the month of Ramadan and the Tefsir section, which according to him would prevent each and everyone from going back to his or her deeds which are ungodly.
Also in attendance were the Deputy coordinator Alhaji Mohammed Mahama and the Deputy Regional Coordinator Alhaji Abdul-Razak.
