The Nigerian parliament on Thursday passed the 2017 budget into law.
The budget was passed after so much delay and rigorous scrutiny by the lawmakers.
A lawmaker who doesn’t want his name in print said the issue was not to pass the budget but implementation.
According to him, only 40 percent of the 2016 budget was released and used for capital projects.
He expressed concerns that funds should be released timely, rather than releasing only $10.
