He has therefore admonished NPP sympathizers and the good people of Ghana to keep the faith in the NPP and support the only political grouping with governance expertise and human resource that bring sustainable development to Ghana.
Carlos made the call last Sunday when he was addressing party sympathizers at Wolei electoral area after a well-attended Keep fit exercise organized for two electoral areas namely Sakumono estate and Sakumono village.
“I say this in all humility, I am equipped to provide and promote that sort of quality leadership as your member of parliament, a leadership that will restore the party as a genuinely united force and make it possible for us to go back to our roots and ensure a systematic machinery at the grassroots level Tema West constituency; we need a resourceful grassroots base to execute an effective and productive campaign to recapture power and increase our margins in 2016”. He said.
He hinted that the spirit of dedicated service, sacrifice and selflessness should be the fulcrum around which the party’s organizational grassroots mobilization will revolve.
“Carlos Ahenkorah possess that strong desire to serve the people with a clear conscience, pure motives and a solid noble character premised in compassion, commitment, courage, respect, humility, hard work and competence,” he said.
He disclosed his readiness to provide an all-inclusive leadership that understands the plight of the people.
The Tema West NPP Parliamentary candidate pointed out that, considering the astronomical increment in utility tariffs, fuel price and roadworthy fees for transport operators, and yet with no increase in public workers wage over the last three years.
“It is obvious that the hardship will be so intense that the people, especially the youth will do anything in their power to survive.”
He lamented over the unprecedented five years of total energy crisis resulting in uncountable loss of lives and properties through fire outbreaks, many have been victims of redundancy in their workplace due to high cost of production, and observed that Ghanaians have been stretched to the limit that the fight against poverty and corruption has totally failed under the NDC government.
His voice was re-echoed by Achibald Cobbina, Greater Accra regional Organizer of NPP who recalled how the Kuffour-Aliu Mahama led NPP government brought hope and transformation in Ghana in eight years as compared to the disastrous and catastrophic twenty seven years rule of the NDC.
According to the regional organizer, the integral and wise managerial style of governance devoid of greed, thievery and corruption is evident for all to see under the NPP regime.
“With the inception and implementation of the several social intervention policies like capitation grants, National health insurance policy, school feeding programme, free mass cocoa spraying exercise, national youth employment programme and free maternal health care, the NPP did not raise the country’s debt to even half of the gargantuan height it has reached under the NDC government.”
“I pray that high moral standards are maintained by Ghanaians despite the cruel suppression by President Mahama, I urge all of you to maintain your decent behavioral composure and remain focused, work for the country and wait patiently for the restoration of ‘HOPE’ by the NPP under the leadership of ‘Oyeadeyie’ Nana Akufo Addo,” he noted.
Achibald lamented over the importation of the two Yemen notorious terrorists into the country on no justifiable legal grounds, a move he describes as very reckless, insensitive and highly below the belt by President John Dramani Mahama.
He challenged the gathering to work tirelessly for Carlos and Nana Addo within the best of their capabilities to increase the Margins for both the parliamentary and presidential elections on November 7 2016.
