Nyako to be re-arraigned by the EFCC over N29 Billion Fraud

The accused are to be invited for money laundering offence to the tune of N29 billion before the Justice Okon Abang, Federal High Court in Abuja.

NyakoThey allegedly stole the huge sum belonging to the Adamawa government when the former was a governor.

The former governor, his son along other culprits were arrested and initially arraigned before late Justice Evoh Chukwu on 37 counts charge.

The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Ibrahim Auta, then re-assigned the case to Abang following the death of Chukwu in June.

The case was initially scheduled to commence on July 7 but could not hold as a result of the extension of the Eid-el-Fitri holiday announced by the Federal Government on July 5.

When the matter was called, Abang asked counsel to pick an early date after the court’s vacation for re-arraignment.
