Posters bearing the pictures of ‘two rivals’, President Goodluck Jonathan and Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State were on Sunday spotted in Rumuola, Port Harcourt.
The posters, which were pasted on the Rumuola Bridge, showed that the President and the governor were contesting for the 2015 presidential election.
Our correspondent learnt that many passersby gathered to have a glimpse of the messages on the few large political bills that floods a part of the bridge.
It was also gathered that the passersby were full of surprise over the citing of the posters.
While some of Amaechi?s posters had Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) and courtesy of RIVLEAF (0803315504) inscribed on them, others had Peoples Democratic Party and its logo inscribed on them.
When our correspondent called the mobile phone number written on the posters, it was not answered.
Some of the posters read: ?South-South people has (sic) spoken. Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for President 2015. He will give us change. The right person to represent us.?
That of President Jonathan read, ?Our Dependable Choice Voter to Voter. Transformation 2015.?
The citing of campaign posters is fast becoming a re-occuring development in the country with the posters often springing up different parts of the country. A few months ago posters bearing the images of APC chieftain, Gen. Mohammadu Buhari and even President Jonathan Goodluck were posted at different parts of the nation?s capital, Abuja.
