Ok so a lot people are still wondering [including OMGGhana] why Sarkodie’s RAPPERHOLIC still hasn’t seen the light of day. We understand RAPPERHOLIC was scheduled for release after his historic December, 25th concert last year. We gathered there was some bad blood between these heavyweights but, well, sources have it that the “U go kill me” sensation is back in the studio withJaySo to remake, if not all, majority of the album.
Covert sources claim Sarkodie, earlier on, had failed to settle his outstanding arrears with theSkillions CEO. Sarkodie became a persona non grata as it were, Ebuzu studios was virtually a no-go area. Hard to believe but sources claim Obidi saved portions of his US tour and other proceeds with the JaySo arrears lurking in his subconscious. Upon all the “U know say money no be problem!!” chants?
I suppose Sarkodie and his cohorts realized the near-impeccability of Jayso’s art. Yall recall it was a Jayso production that caught Babs [Konvict Africa, President] and later Akon’s attention. That “Lay away” song.
However, OMGGhana is glad that these creative heavyweights are back together and we only wish them the best of luck as we look, impatiently, forward to getting a feel of what RAPPERHOLIC has to offer. Make history yall!!!
