A secret recording with a duration of about 1:13seconds on the 6th of September 2014 at exactly 9:04 pm on purported attempt by a Multi Tv Journalist, Solomon Jojo Cobbina and his cameraman to paint a picture of homelessness by the people of Mensah Guinea against government, has been exposed.

The said recording which was made at the same time the Multi Tv Journalist was recording, showed how the people were persuaded to lie down in the open under a mosquito net to depict a situation of homelessness after a demolition exercise, which had not even been carried out by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) at the time the TV crew got there.

The arrival of the crew led by Solomon Jojo Cobbina in the recording revealed that when the reporter announced his presence, he told residents to calm down so he could take their complaints “one after the other.”

The residents in their grief responded through a leader that everyone should have patience for the issue to be addressed.

It was followed by the arrangement for somebody to lie down and pretend by acting as if he was truly asleep.

Other residents around instructed the person who was to do the act, to lie down properly, close his eyes and open his mouth and make it look quite real for the Tv camera to record to depict the act of sleeping in the open.

Meanwhile, the Multi Tv reporter and his cameraman agreed to shoot such framed act from different positions to enrich the viewers’ consciousness of a real encounter at Mensah Guinea of homelessness.

This is what has been revealed from a mobile phone video camera which could be described as a candid camera to expose the Multi Tv reporter and his cameraman for what they earlier recorded to telecast on their network and to show how stranded the people were living at Mensah Guinea, even at the time when the demolition had not been done.

It could be recall that, on the said day and time, the Multi Tv journalist and his cameraman arrived there in the area in a red car with registration number M 6238-13 which was driven by Felix Akunor.

But the informant who also acted as one of the frustrated victims to suffer the intended demolition, informed the higher authorities at about 10pm.

The message was immediately communicated to a reliable source who immediately communicated it to the Mayor of Accra, Dr Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije.

The Mayor informed the Police Service to ascertain the situation on the ground.

However, at Mensah Guinea, the Mayor of Accra, accompanied by his driver and two policemen went to the scene at 10:15pm and upon arrival, sited the reporter and his cameraman, but upon seeing the police, the Solomon Jojo Cobbina and his cameraman took to their heels (run away) leaving behind their driver.

The police arrested their driver and the Adom TV car with Registration number GM 6238-13 which was later deposited at the Ministries Police station.

The Mayor reported the case to the police and submitted a written statement on the incident for further investigation into the purported act by the Multi TV reporter against government.

Interestingly, the actual demolition of Mensah Guinea was carried on Sunday, 7th September 2014 at 8am prompt with personnel from the Regional Police Command to supervise the exercise.

Meanwhile the said Multi Tv reporter Solomon Jojo Cobbina is still publishing on various news media the same visuals on the framed act with a voice over to convince the public on the situation at Mensah Guinea.
