The incident took place when the Chief of the town, Nana Apata Kofi VB was celebrating the elevation of his stool.
But some youth of the town took advantage of the occasion, and on the early hours of that fateful Friday around 8:00 a.m. reportedly went round the community, shooting at every animal on sight.
This prompted owners of the animals to report the incident to the police at Winneba who moved in quickly and arrested five of the boys.
They were detained but granted bail the following morning, pending further investigations.
