In an interview with the Editor in chief of the Yagbon watch Richard
B. Forgo he explained that the Yegbon Watch was inspired by the lack
or the little and the bad publicity in the main stream Ghanaian media
of Gonjaland.

According to him many stories from across the country competing for
space in Newspapers in Ghana that editors publish stories from the
three northern regions for that matter Gonjaland when they are
sensational or negative.

“There are a lot happening in the Yagbon communities in areas of
education, heath, politics tourism, sports entertainment cultural and
many others sectors that the world, country and even Gongaland never
gets to hear or read about”.

He said there are also many visible project being undertaken by the
government and by extension district assemblies in Gonjaland to
address the many development challenges that exist in the area that
are not brought to the attention of people.

However, the launched of the Yagbon watch was graced by the deputy
minister of transport Mrs Joyce Bawa Mogtari.

Addressing the youth of the area, Mrs Joyce Bawa Mogtari commended
the publishers of Yagbon Watch on the inovative idea of publishing a
magazine dedicated to the Gonjaland and matters concerning Gonjaland.

She promised them of her unflinching support and advised the youth to
spend much time in leaning than in earning, believing that the future
of Gonjaland lies in education.
