The founder and leader of the New Jerusalem Church in Kumasi, Bishop J Y Adu has predicted the death of a number of media owners in 2015.

The man of God, who is noted for prophesying events of the coming year during his 31st December night conventions, made similar prophecies about radio and TV personalities last year which duly came to pass as over fourteen practitioners, including the late Komla Dumor of Joy FM and BBC fame, died last year.

This time round Bishop Adu says there will be a reduced number of journalist deaths, but some owners will also kick the bucket. The owners, he said, will be in ?Accra, Kumasi and other places?.

?Last year I said some journalists, both those on radio and TV will die, but you didn?t do anything about it. You saw the many deaths.

?This year too some of you (journalists) will die, but it won?t be that many. But this year the people who own the stations, the people who bought the machines for you to work with, some of them will die. They will die in Accra, Kumasi, and other places. You need to pray,? he warned.

He has also predicted the death of two prominent people, although he failed to name them, who will be buried amidst gunshots and salutes.

Such honours are reserved for very prominent persons in the country, including senior traditional rulers and politicians.

?This year soldiers will carry a coffin and fire guns. Very important people will die this year. We need to pray very hard. The country is in trouble,? he warned

Bishop J. Y. Adu is also predicting a massive increase in the rate of ?dumsor? because ?all the rivers we generate power from will dry up?.

The situation will only be averted if other options are explored vigorously, he advised.
