The Progressive People?s Party (PPP) parliamentary aspirant for the newly created Obuasi East constituency, Frank Aboagye Danyansah, is hopeful of winning the seat, and believes the NPP aspirant, Mr. Edward Ennin, who lost his party?s primaries in Obuasi is no match for him.

According to him, the NPP delegates voted against Mr. Ennin at the time the constituency had not been divided into two because they had lost confidence in him.

Mr. Aboagye Danyansah, who is a land economist and enjoys massive support from the youth in the area, believes he has what it takes to win the new seat for his party.

??All that the Obuasi NPP is telling us is if this seat had not been created, Mr. Ennin would be been heading home because of his incompetence. Now, wherever you pass you hear a certain wind blowing and that is the wind of Frank Aboagye Danyansah and the PPP, the aspiring PPP aspirant told Today.

On his motivation to contest the seat, Mr. Aboagye Danyansah, explained that the Obuasi East is an area which lacks so many things including a ?good leader? who would speak for the constituents.

He also used the chance to advise Mr. Ennin to throw in the towel, adding that ?the earlier Mr. Ennin does this the better it will be for him.?

Touching on his vision, the PPP parliamentary aspirant disclosed that when he is elected he would focus more on the health of the people and try to put an end to illegal mining in the area.

??The area needs development but I don?t think we need physical development more than our health. HIV/AIDS is killing our people so I will do everything possible to reduce it to its barest minimum.?

??I will also with the help Dr. Nduom and some contacts help create several jobs and educate our people on the dangers of galamsey,? Mr. Aboagye Danyansah promised.
