— Haile Gebrselassie, Ethiopian long-distance running great, has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)

— The Ethiopian Electric Power has purchased spare parts worth 1 billion US dollars for power plants.
