A member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Asawase Constituency in the Ashanti Region has been stabbed to death, Friday.
Abubakar Saddiq was part of the angry Akufo-Addo loyalists who locked up the Asawasi Constituency office, Thursday in protest over comments made by the Chairman of the Constituency.
The deceased and several other supporters had threatened to beat up the Constituency chair for supporting suspended National Chair Paul Afoko.
He was said to have gone to the constituency office on hearing the office had been ransacked Friday morning but was attacked and murdered by unknown assailants.
The incident happened few minutes after midday.
It is neither clear yet who masterminded the murder nor whether the murder has any link with the ongoing chaos within the opposition New Patriotic Party.
