The college was established by the Ntotroso Traditional Council through the royalties generated from the giant mining company, Newmont Ghana Limited, barely three years ago.
The Omanhene made this passionate appeal during the 1st matriculation and official opening of the college.
The Omanhene was optimistic that, the future of the college is to be the 1st Nursing University in the country, and reiterated the active support of the college.
He therefore called on the government for more infrastructure for the college, at least, as their own part of the national cake.
The national president of Ghana Registered Nursing and Midwifery, Mr. Kwaku Krobea Asante commmended the Omanhene for his initiative, and assured him of providing them with clinical logistics as well as staffing.
The Omanhene’s Sompahene Nana Akwasi Amoah I, who is also the mouth peace of the Omanhene, at this point commended the Omanhene for the establishment of this college through their own initiatives, and also called on government to honour Nana Berima Twereko Ampem III for his good work.
