As part of his visit to Algeria to grace the Qur’an recitation competition as guest of hounour, the President and Spiritual leader of the Tijaniyya Muslim Council of Ghana (TMCOG) went to Masjid Najah in Algiers. His eminence Sheikh Abul –Faidi Abdulai Ahmed Maikano led his entourage to Masjid Najah to perform the last Friday Prayers of the Holy month of Ramadan where he was called by the Imam to address the thousands of worshipers congregated.
He reiterated the fact that the TMCOG is not in Algeria for any commercial venture but instead collaborate on religious and educational fields. The holy Qur’an was revealed in this holy month of Ramadan therefore organizing a competition to enhance its reading and understanding is in the right direction he added. His eminence Prayed for Allah’s mercy, guidance, blessings and prosperity to Islam, Algeria, Ghana and the world to stay at peace.
The Imam of Masjid Najah Sheikh Yousif Churuti made commendation remarks on the President of TMCOG for inspirational speech. He promised his office collaboration with the council for the development of education. At a meeting after the prayers, Imam Yousif says this is the beginning of good things to come between the council and his outfit.
The National Chairman of TMCOG shared the council’s appreciation for the audience granted them to deliberate on issues of religion and education. Sheikh Tahiru Saeed assured the council’s readiness to work hand in hand with them to achieve the best of results.The deputy Imam of Masjid Najah Kamel Chekatte, a Sudanese delegation, Imam Abdul Rahim Gariba, Public Relation Officer of TMCOG Abubakar Baba Yara and the Media Relation officer Muhammad Muhtari Ibrahim.
