It is now evident that those that had diets that were high in trans fats were more prone to have brain shrinkage as well as lower scores with the memory and thinking tests than those that had diets that were low in trans fats.

Baked goods, prepackaged food, fast food, fried food and also margarine spreads are the main foods that trans fats are found in.

However, the study results need to be confirmed, but the potential to help stop brain shrinkage just by adjusting diet is exciting.
