Ten (10) people aboard a 207 Benz Bus are confirmed dead by the Airport Security following the crash of the Allied Air Cargo Plane in the Hajj Village near the El-Wak Sports Stadium in Accra on Saturday night.

The cargo plane with the number “BHV3” is said to have overshot the runway at the Kotoka International Airport and eventually crashed into the village at exactly 7.10pm.

The plane flew from Lagos to Accra and it is believed that the bad visibility of the weather partly caused this mishap since it had rain the whole night.

The plane was rather landing and is contrary to earlier reports that the cargo plane was taking off.

All four (4) crew aboard the plane survived and are receiving treatment at the Airport Clinic while the bodies of the deceased has been sent to the 37 Military Hospital morgue.

The security services at the scene include personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Armed Forces, National Disaster Management Organisation, National Security Council, Police etc.
