Chrysler will recall 13,676 imported vehicles on the Chinese mainland due to defective windshield wipers, the country's top quality watchdog said on Tuesday.

The recall, set to begin on June 10, affects 13,676 imported Jeep Cherokee SUVs manufactured between Jan. 4, 2013 and July 11, 2014, according to a notice on the website of the13,678 Cherokee SUVs to be recalled by Chrysler and Quarantine.

The automaker promised to check all affected cars and replace defective parts free of charge.
