The Sole Administrator Borno Radio and Television BRTV Maiduguri Alhaji Babakura Abba Jato has called on youths in Borno state to shun all acts of violence or criminality yesterday. .
He also tasked the two youths development associations to distance themselves gent any political or electoral crisis or violence.

Charging the youths yesterday while delivering a lecture on election violence in Nigeria organized by the Bolori II Youths Development Association Maiduguri, he said, the youths as future leaders of the country and younger generation, should not to accept or be influenced by anybody to cause any havoc on innocent people in the society before or during or after the elections.
ABBA Jato said the driving force of any economy in the world is the youths, “I therefore call on you to participate in any business venture into order for you to become useful to yourselves and the society at large by being self reliant or employed”.
He also charged parents and guardians of the youths to live up to their responsibilities of upbringing their children morally and decently in the society.
Alhaji Babakura further urged the youths to desist from dealing with hard drugs and Indian hemp or begging saying, “Islam condemns such acts”.
He also commended Governor Kashim Shettima for introducing the Borno Youths Empowerment Skills known as BOYES VANGUARD and training programme for the youths in the field both within and outside the state as part of measures towards building a better future for the teeming unemployed youths in the state.
The sole administrator also reaffirmed his commitment to the media of BRTV to educate and enlighten the youths and the public at large on activities of government especially policies and programmes of government that affects the youths and the society.
The President of BOCCIMA Alhaji Mohammed Rijiya in his remark as an elder statesman commended the foresight if the association for organizing the lecture while the APC Chairman of Bolori II Alhaji Mandalama and Bolori Malam Baaji applauded the organizers.
Alhaji Rijiya donated N100,000 to the association and also assured the association that he will continue to assist and support while promising to forward their problems to Governor Shettima for attention.
Awards were presented to the BRTV Sole Administrator, Alhaji Babakura Abba Jato and Hajiya Yabawa Kolo Director Women Affairs, MOWSD while Alhaji Mohammed Rijiya BOCCIMA President was nominated the Grand Patton of the association.
