Afriyie Acquah scored his debut goal for Ghana in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Malawi in Lilongwe
Italy-based midfielder Afriyie Acquah says he had a feeling he was going to score in Saturday?s decisive 2013 Nations Cup qualifier against Malawi.
The on-loan Parma player connected Andre Ayew?s cross on four minutes for Ghana?s 1-0 win over the Flames at the Civo Stadium.
?When I was entering the pitch, I had a right feeling it was going to be my day,? Acquah told MTNFootball.com
?I took a lot of inspiration from the way the coach called him and into the team and that made me strong.
?I told my agent Oliver Arthur I feel like I have won a CAF Award.?
Acquah was handed a last minute call-up into the Ghana squad after Udinese ace Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu picked up an injury.
The 20-year-old has now earned his second international cap.
