Organizers of the 2021 edition of the Koforidua Marathon in collaboration with the Ghana Athletics Association (GAA) have confirmed that this year’s event would come on Saturday, December 11.
Ansoff Marketing and the Koforidua Marathon Foundation (KMF) being the main organizers of the event are collaborating with GAA to host this year’s event.
The first edition saw Ismael Fialor and Sakat Lariba crowned champions of the event and the organizers have promised that this year’s edition would be more exciting bringing on board some top athletes all over Ghana to battle it out for the ultimate prize.
The second edition of the Koforidua Marathon would be supported in Michael Okyere Baafi, Member of Parliament for New Juaben South Constituency and Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry.
According to the Managing Director of Ansoff Marketing Consult and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of KMF, Mr Kwabena Bediako Antwi-Dako, the organizers of the event had made adequate preparations towards the 2021 Koforidua Marathon event.
“My outfit has been working on the event for the past months and I am also ably assisted by Edmund Boateng, the Sales and Marketing Manager for Ansoff Marketing Consult and the Koforidua Marathon Foundation, and playing a key role in the organization of the event,”
“We, as organizers are hoping that at the end of this year’s marathon that would cover some 42km distance, talents would be unearthed and nurtured to represent Ghana at continental marathon competitions and games.” he said.
