Inter Milan are in serious pursuit of Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew, according to reports fast gaining ground in the Italian press.
The highly rated 22-year-old caught the eye of the top echelons at Inter following his explosive performance against the Italian giants in last season?s Uefa Champions League where he scored a vital goal for Olympique Marseille.
Officials of the Nerazzurri are said to have held talks with Ayew?s representatives and are gearing towards making their interest official by offering a deal to the former French champions.
Marseille on the other hand are unwilling to let go of the son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele after newly appointed coach Elie Baup revealed his intentions of making Ayew the fulcrum of his side.
The Velodrome outfit is however suspected to be ready to listen to offers if any cub meets the reported 15m euros asking price for the offensive midfielder who was last season linked to English giants Arsenal.
Ayew has grown into a key player for both club and country since leading Ghana?s U-20 team to World Cup success in 2009.
