Beposo builds bungalow for health workers

The chiefs and the people of Beposo in the Sekyere Central District, have taken steps to house health professionals working at a health centre in the community.


They have started with the construction of a bungalow for the Physician Assistant in-charge of the facility.


A special fund-raising durbar they organized in aid of the project during the weekend, yielded GHȼ15,460.00.

In attendance, were the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr. Ebenezer Akuoko Frimpong, and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsuta-Kwamang-Beposo, Mr. Kwame Asafu-Adjei.

Nana Boamah Kwabi IV, Omanhene of the Beposo Traditional Area, said every effort would be made to provide the right conditions for the health workers to operate in some comfort.

He invited all citizens of the town both resident and abroad, to contribute their quota towards improving facilities at the centre to raise the quality of healthcare.

The Omanhene gave high marks to the youth for leading the effort to bring development to the area.

He advised the people to continue to live in peace and refuse to allow themselves to be divided on the basis of partisan politics.

Mr. Ishmael Abdul Fatah, the Physician Assistant, said the facility was facing challenges and mentioned among these the lack of an ambulance, laboratory and inadequate beds.

He appealed to the district assembly to assist tackle these.
