IMO SPEAKER EXPRESSES SHOCK OVER EHIME MBANO T.C CHAIRMAN?S DEATH

The recent death of the Transition Committee Chairman for Ehime Mbano Local Government Area, Mrs. Chioma Ogoke, has continued to elicit tributes and goodwill messages from relevant stakeholders and indeed, the good people of her local government and the state in general.

In this regards, the speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu, has joined well-meaning people of the state in mourning the painful departure of the state??ALGON Chairperson and Ehime Mbano Council boss .

In a message from his office, the Speaker who described the late T.C chairman, as a woman of inestimable value, who had deployed her God-given talents to bear in the services of her people, also expressed shock that the council chairman died when her enviable experiences were needed most to further help in deepening the gains of the present democratic governance in the state, down to the grass root.

According to Rt. Hon. Uwajumogu, the late Mrs. Chioma Ogoke, was an epitome of peace, humility and passion for selfless service, adding that the Mbano nation, Okigwe zone and indeed the state, has lost a rare gem whose enduring legacies, as well as pragmatic achievements recorded while in office would continue to remain evergreen in the minds of the people.

??It is however, a pity and shocking that we?ve lost one of our finest in this journey of transforming our state and zone. A rare gem who stood for the truth and good governance against whose ox is gored. Indeed, this is a sad news which would continue to haunt as many who believed in her ability of transforming Ehime Mbano Local Government, and we strongly believe that such memories would linger eternally?, the Speaker mourned.

He consoled the Ogoke family, Ehime Mbano Local Council, Okigwe zone and the state in general to always take solace in the fact that the late T.C Chairman, who was a devout Christian until her sudden demise, also lived a life worthy of emulation and service.

Rt. Hon. Uwajumogu, while praying God for the repose of her soul, also asked for the fortitude for all to bear the irreparable loss.
