CHOCHO INDUSTRIES last Monday donated food items worth several thousands of Cedis to Jehovah Rapha Orphanage Home in Suhum.
The items included bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, packets of toilet roll, boxes of biscuits and toffees, Chocho Industries calendars, among others.
Kojo Ampah Sahara, head of public relations at Chocoho Industries said the gesture formed part of the company?s activities to reach out to the less privileged in society.
?Giving or sharing with the needy on society has been our trademark over the years. We have monitored the activities of this orphanage, and we have realised they are on track and needs to be encouraged.
?We have been here a couple of times to rally our support by way of donation, and we believe this will to a large extent encourage the founder and her staff to Accra on with the good work they are doing. They are serving humanity, and that is one of our core values at Chocho,? he added.
Prophetess Mrs Elizabeth Obeng, founder of the orphanage, stated, ?This is not the first time Chocho has come to our aid by way of donation, they have been here on countless occasions; some formal, quite often informal. We are indeed grateful for their frequent visits. As you can see, the kids are happy and that for me will gladden the heart of our maker too. We the staff and the pupils thank you so very much.?
The home has a population of 180 pupils and 20 teaching staff.
