Isabelle Quaye of Alsyd Academy has been adjudged winner of the 2013 Citi FM?s Write Away Contest.
She emerged the winner out of the 10 pupils who qualified for the final round of the competition.
Ms. Quaye walks away with a medal, GHC 5,000 and several other prizes while the nine other finalists received varying prizes from the sponsors of the competition.
10 regional winners will also be rewarded.
Over 1,600 entries were received from students between the ages of 10 to 14 who were tasked to ?Write a letter to the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection on the challenges children with disability face and what they want to be done for them.?
The annual event is to test the writing and imaginative skills of children between the ages of 10 and 14.
The Citi FM?s Write Away Contest was sponsored by UNICEF, Merchant Bank, Indomie instant noodles, Blue Band and SIC Life and Finlite Group.
