Ghana Supreme Court has ordered businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome to refund GH?51.2 million to the state.
The court ruled unanimously against Woyome and said he got his money out of an invalid and unconstitutional contract and thus must pay it back.
The court said Mr. Woyome did not follow Article 181 (5) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana, which requires Parliamentary approval on contracts such as the one he received.
