The Daily Graphic, Ghana?s premier newspaper has topped the list of winners of the 19th Ghana Journalists Association Awards with seven awards.

The winners include Seth Tei Adano, Maxwell Adombire Akalaare, Moses Aklobortu, Kofi Yeboah, Seth Bokpe, Rebecca Quaye and Mabel Aku Banasseh.
Other award winners are Ghana Television: Rachel Quartey, Soyokuor Quarcoo Tchire, Mark Sasu, Isabella Owusu Oppong and Rebecca Awuah.
Those from Joy FM are Seth Kwame Boateng, Manasseh Awuni Azure, Beatrice Adu and Gifty Appiah/Edem Srem.
The rest are Ghanaian Times – Dzifa Emma Tetteh and John Vigah Toy ; Daily Guide ? Jamila Akweley Oketchiri; TV Africa ? Akweley Nartey; and Nelson Adanuti Nyador of Tamale based Diamond FM.
This was announced on Thursday by the GJA 19th Award Committee at a news briefing in Accra as part of preparations towards the grand event which falls on Saturday, August 30.
The Committee received 432 entries, out of which 32 persons were selected to receive various awards.
The event which is on the theme: ?Using development journalism to discern and defend the national interest,? would be under the Chairmanship of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, former Lagos State Governor, Otumfuo Oseit-Tutu II, Asantehene as the Special Guest Speaker and President John Dramanni Mahama as the Guest of Honour.
The Committee Members are Dr Roberta Gardener, Mr Francis Kokutse, Mr Matthew Mark Kwame, Mr Razak El-Alawa and Mr Francis Sasu
