Former team doctor for the Black Stars, Dr Martin Engmann, has been appointed to head the medical team of the national beach soccer team, the Black Sharks.
Dr Engmann led the medical team of the senior national football team to their maiden participation at the FIFA World Cup in Germany in 2006 and has vast experience in managing the medical department of the various national sporting associations, particularly the national soccer teams, having travelled with them to several international competitions and tournaments.
Dr Engmann is expected to advise the technical team and the president of the association on other interventions geared towards achieving and maintaining good health practices among beach soccer players.
