The Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) Limited has presented a cheque for GH?20,000 to the University of Cape Coast (UCC) to support the university?s 50th Anniversary Inaugural lecture.
Mr. Martin Abrofa, the Area Manager for Cape Coast Zone of GCB speaking at the presentation ceremony, indicated that GCB appreciates the good and long working relationship with the university and that the support shows the bank?s commitment to the relationship.
Mr. Joshua Dadzie, Corporate Manager for Takoradi and Cape Coast Zones of the bank, pointed out that the relationship between the two institutions has come a long way.
He said the bank has put in place a lot of products to support the university?s programme and activities – – ?we are looking forward to a deeper relationship in the years ahead?.
Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the Vice Chancellor of UCC who received the cheque on behalf of the UCC 50 Anniversary Planning Committee, expressed gratitude to GCB for its support
?This demonstrate the partnership we have long ago — we appreciate the contribution made by your Bank and for making yourself visibly on UCC campus,? she said.
She expressed hope that the presentation will encourage other institutions to support the 50th anniversary of the school and promised that the cheque will be put to good use.
