
Ghana has been ranked 7th among 53 African countries on the 2011 Mo Ibrahim Index for governance. Ghana Scored 66 points which is higher than the continental average of 50 point four.
A Research Officer at the Centre for Democratic Development, CDD, Maxwell Agyei Ashon challenged Ghana to aim at claiming a spot in the more prestigious top five on the index in future rankings. He was speaking in Accra at a conference on governance in Africa’s Oil and Gas with evidence from the Mo Ibrahim Index of African governance.
