The Ghana Journalist Association (GJA),has received cheques for Ghc 30,000 towards the 22nd GJA award ceremony slated for December 20.
The Organisations are Ashform Ghana and the Ghana Community Network Services Limited (GCNet) ‘
Ashfoam presented a cheque for GHc 20,000 and GCNet also presented 10,000.
At a presentation ceremony in Accra, the President of GJA, Mr Affail Monney, commended sponsors who had over the years supported the association in the organisation of the awards.
He stated that the organisations’ support had been instrumental in training and honouring hardworking journalists and that had helped to bring about qualitative improvement in journalism.
Ms Aba Lokko , Head of Communications, GCNet said the donation is to strengthen the relationship between the two organisations and support GJA to better tell the story of trade facilitation , revenue mobilisation and domestic tax among others and educate the citizenry on the need for them to honour their tax obligations.
GCNet was established to develop and operate a customized electronic system for processing trade and customs documents.
Mr Joe Ampem- Darko, Head of Marketing, Ashform said in addition to the cash donation Ashfoam products will be give to the Journalist of the year, Best Journalist TV, Best Investigative Journalist, Best Journalist, Saniataion and hygiene and the GJA
