Gombe United survived a scare from 3SC with a 3-2 victory at home on Sunday in continuation of the Nigeria league.
Gombe United now have 31 points, while 3SC have 26 points.
Cyril Oriaku gave Gombe United the lead with a 10th minute penalty, before Chima Akas equalised in the 35th minute.
Experienced Oliver Agbo put the home team in front again with a 42nd minute header to end the first half 2-1.
3SC equalised through Francis Edem in the 70th minute.
