She said the Ministry will assist Ghana Education Service (GES) to set up a strong Quality Assurance mechanism to regulate and support the establishment of private educational institutions in the country.

The Sector Minister made this remark during the opening ceremony of the High School Section of the Galaxy international school a in Accra.
She added that it is also the responsibility of government to hold all schools accountable for results, and also, empower parents, students, communities with information that will assist them make informed decisions on their choice of schools.
Professor Kofi Anyidoho, an astute educationists who chaired the occasion also seized the opportunity to call on all to endeavor to commit their resources to development of the nation.
He said, people should not always expect government to bring development.
The Managing Director of Galaxy International School Mr. Yusuf Temizkan, noted that students from Galaxy International School have represented Ghana in international Olympiads and brought home 47 medals and accomplishments.
According to him, they have 345 of their graduates in different universities across the globe serving as good ambassadors of Ghana as well as their own nations.
“Education has always been the most important way of serving others and it is the most effective vehicle for change to better world, regardless of whether it is in our country or abroad ; as the solution of every problem in human life ultimately depends on the initiative and capabilities of human beings themselves” , he stated.
