Magaji was shot at close range by two assailants who came on a motorcycle
A retired civil servant, Tijani Magaji, 43, of Idi Dawaki quarters in Gombe State was killed by unknown gunmen on Saturday.
Magaji was shot dead around 7.30p.m. by two gunmen who came on motorcycle, shot him and fled the scene.
A resident of the quarters, who requested anonymity, said he witnessed the gunmen fire close-range shots at Magaji.
The deceased was a civil servant in Gombe Local Government before he left the service to go into business.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Fwaje Atajiri, confirmed the incident in Gombe on Sunday, adding that the police were still investigating the matter and no arrest had been made.
