
The Management of Tinapa Business Resort in Calabar says the resort is currently recording high trade volume and investment.
The Managing Director of the resort, Bassey Andem, said this on Monday at an interactive session with the State Working Committee of the Cross River Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists.
Andem said that Tinapa Lakeside Hotel had been adjudged the best in the city by tourists and other independent assessors who had used the facilities recently.
“We are witnessing very fast improvement in the resort. The Tinapa Lakeside Hotel has been adjudged as the best in Calabar by tourists and independent assessors, ?? he said.
According to him, such commendation puts more pressure on the management to maintain the momentum which is also worth celebrating.
The managing director said that the Water Park section of the resort was now a bee-hive of activities with people from all works of life enjoying their leisure time at the park.
“People come from as far as Lagos and overseas to have nice times in the park and we are working hard to make it one of the best in the world.
“We are improving facilities in the park and by the time we finished, it will be world class, ?? he said.
Andem also said that the park was currently being maintained by local engineers and that the engineers were doing well and even better than when foreigners were in charge of the park.
He said that Tinapa had fairly-well built facilities which could last for over 200 years, adding that trade and leisure would continue to thrive in the facility for several years to come.
Andem said that the resort was enjoying healthy and relationship with the media and congratulated the new leadership of NUJ in the state for the successful inauguration.
The State Chairman of NUJ, Ndoma Akpet, promised to maintain the cordial relationship existing between the management of Tinapa and the media in the state.
