In an apparent move to galvanize support from relevant stakeholders in the state for total development of Imo State, the Speaker, Imo state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Banjamin Uwajumogu, has called on politicians in the state to see themselves as brothers and partners who are pursuing a collective course of developing the state to an enviable height, saying that, at 49 years, he has no enemy.
The Speaker, who was speaking to a cross section of Journalists in his Owerri residence, weekend, told politicians in the state that he bear no grudge or enmity against anyone, stressing that his major actions as the??leader of the State House of Assembly, was for the good and even development of the state.
He encouraged people of the state to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness to one another, pointing out that forgiveness and trust remained influential factors for the achievement of people-oriented goals.
Rt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu, enjoined citizens of the state to always take a retrospective view of themselves and ask for forgiveness when they err, as this approach would further re-open the channel of communication and friendliness towards creating a better society.
He maintained that only when these valuable traits are adopted by relevant stakeholders in the state that Imo would return to the better dreams of its founding fathers.
The speaker, while thanking God for helping him add another year, declared total forgiveness for those who may have wronged him and asked for the forgiveness of those whom he must have wronged in one way or the other. He further described peace and unity of purpose as indispensable factors which can never be over-emphasized in the utmost quest for the needed change in the state.
